JT Comet is a warm, chunky typeface suited for a wide range of branding applications. What makes this project particularly important to us is its collaborative nature. While typefaces are often designed by a single designer, JT Comet was developed collectively by Edward Dżułaj, Nika Langosz, and Lev Rastvortsev. During the design process, we aimed to capture the charm of lettering found on shop windows, ice cream trucks, and various food packaging. Like many type designers, we enjoy revisiting archives and collecting references. This project draws inspiration from the spirit of Heinz Hoffmann’s Herold Reclameschrift, designed for H. Berthold, however, with JT Comet, we were not interested in creating a revival. Instead, our goal was to reinterpret and reshape these influences into something new. JT Comet has soft curves, playful energy, friendly tone, and a warm character. We hope you will enjoy using our font in your projects!
